Ndeye Laïty Ndiaye

Ndeye Laïty is a sociologist and community organizer with over a decade of professional experience as a researcher, partnership builder, and community advocate.
Ms. Laïty currently works as a Gender Advisor for FAR, where she strives to ensure that the voices of women from all backgrounds are being included and heard. To accomplish this, she has developed communications tools for advocacy regarding land access, equality and inclusion, and capacity building in policy.
Additionally, Ms. Laïty is co-founder of the Jàma Collective, which initiated #DeetDuWaaw #SiifNaDakk (StopRape), a campaign to raise awareness for sexual violence in Senegal, and identify community strategies to combat it. She also offers skills in project monitoring and evaluation (MEL) in Senegal and Canada.
She holds a lectureship at Saint Paul University in Ottawa, Canada. Ms. Laïty was also awarded a CODESRIA program grant for her Master’s degree, and currently works as a research associate at the Simone de Beauvoir Institute (Concordia University).
