OUR APPROACH
We collaborate, adapt and learn to find the best solutions for our clients.
We work with clients, partners and beneficiary communities to foster a more stable, inclusive, and equitable world.
We believe that a well-informed development strategy begins with robust and collaborative research and analysis centering on the concerns of our clients and the needs of their beneficiary communities. We work within the broader complexity of identifying actionable policies and recommendations that align with pragmatic constraints.
Using research, assessment, design, implementation, and evaluation tools, Solutions Lab helps create shared value, sustainable impact, and measurable returns for our partners, clients and their beneficiary communities.
The Covid-19 pandemic is among the most pressing global challenges of modern times. The virus continues to impact health and is also threatening livelihoods, supply chains, and economies.
We also recognize that COVID-19 is acting as a consequential driver of complex social problems such as gender-based and family violence, health care inequality, and some governments using the health crisis to implement restrictive and undemocratic emergency laws. As concerns over debt management prevent some countries from aggressively slashing interest rates and constrain the size of stimulus packages they are willing to pass, systemic weaknesses in governance such as corruption,
And bureaucratic inefficiency challenge effective distribution of stimulus. The political and economic impacts of COVID-19 may present longer-term consequences to global recovery.
Solutions Lab is working with our partners to respond to the pandemic by adapting our services and tools to the evolving needs in the countries where Solutions Lab and its partners works. Our experience in the conduct of qualitative research, evaluation, and strategy development in partnerships with governments, CSOs, and donors enables us to adapt research on livelihoods development, environmental/NRM, governance, and the inclusion of vulnerable groups despite the many challenges of Covid-19.
Through collaborative approaches to research, design, analysis, evaluation, and policy formulation we strive to promote local voices and expertise, while offering our partners and clients unique opportunities to develop contextual awareness and understanding throughout the project development.
Using political economy analysis tools, we invest in providing country teams, implementation partners, donors, and policymakers with a framework that cultivates political awareness and encourages systems-level analysis. These collaborative learning opportunities connect policymakers, communities, and donors at the local, state and regional levels often leading to the long-term partnerships that form the bedrock of sustainable development.
Innovation and inclusion promote collaborative learning. Solutions Lab offers expertise in the use of digital tools for qualitative research, providing our clients with the data and evidence they need to develop robust program and policy interventions.
