We want to meet you if you are a quick study, passionate about addressing global challenges, and an expert social media content developer.

This is a paid internship for someone to help support our growing international development consulting services. We anticipate the Internship to last for 3-6 months with the hope that the intern can transition to a part-time consultant with us. The Intern will be working closely with our Managing director and Senior Research Associate.

Position Summary:

You will provide support to social media marketing campaigns for our mobile and website and help us develop online popup events and virtual salons. You should be a dynamic, creative, and enthusiastic person who is an active Internet user and uses social networks on a regular basis. Must be a self-motivated and detail-oriented team player.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, editing, and writing social media content on a bi-weekly basis for either LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, or Youtube platforms.

  • Develop blog content for website (familiarity with Squarespace a plus), and link blog posts and website updates to social media platforms. 

  • Collaborate with the team to create social and video content.

  • Monitor analytics to identify viable ideas, trends, and growth patterns especially as these relate to international development, foreign policy and foreign aid trends.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to share ideas, define strategy, and be instrumental in bringing them to life.

  • Keeping up with the latest international news and finding articles that would be good to share on platforms.

Who you are:

  • A creative and multidimensional human that loves to tell a good story through photos, videos, and words.

  • Lives, eats, and breathes current events and development.

  • Proficient in relevant social channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other emerging channels.

  • A quick thinker and problem solver.

  • Interested in Marketing, social media, PR or Influencer Marketing.

Qualifications:

  • A strong work ethic is a must.  A genuine interest in international development, international relations, and foreign policy are musts for this role.  You are reliable, honest, and trustworthy

  • You have excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Ability to meet goals & deadlines under pressure while multitasking

  • Flexible schedule, work irregular hours as needed; occasional work nights/weekends.

Come join the Solutions Lab team Job as a Part-time, Temporary, Intern with possibility of extension. We offer a summer or semester stipend. Approximately 10-12 hour per week with flexible hours, work from anywhere!
